Outdoor Classroom Day: 6/5

Buker Celebrates Outdoor Classroom Day

Tuesday, June 5, 2018

Outdoor Classroom Day is “A GLOBAL campaign to celebrate outdoor play and learning, and inspire schools to get outdoors to play and learn EVERY day.”

On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, Buker School will celebrate Outdoor Classroom Day! Classroom teachers have planned engaging and educational nature inspired centers that will be available for classes to visit throughout the day. Some of the planned stations are- Composting, Painting Kindness Rocks, Natures’ Homes, Pond Observations, Poetry Reading and Writing, etc… Classes will visit stations throughout the day while maintaining their regular SPECIAL and LUNCH/RECESS schedules. Our goal is to have students outside learning through nature and play as much of the day as possible.

If you have time on Tuesday, June 5th to support Outdoor Classroom Day, please email to sign up for a time to volunteer. Thank you in advance for your support!

Please send your child dressed for outdoor activities- layers and sunscreen are recommended.
