TOY BINGO: New Date March 4th

Due to scheduling conflicts, Toy Bingo will now be held on Wednesday, March 4th.

Patriots Pep Rally: Next Friday 1/30


We're going to the SuperBowl!
Buker School supports our New England Patriots as they take on the 
Seattle Seahawks in SuperBowl XLIX!!!
Students and staff will start our day on Friday, January 30th, with a Patriots' Pep Rally, 
led by Mr. Hennessey and Spike, the Buker Mascot.  
Wear your Patriots' colors in support of our team!

Integrated Preschool Screening

Annual Integrated Preschool Screening


The Hamilton-Wenham Integrated Preschool Program, located at Winthrop Elementary School, provides a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, speech/language and pre-academic development of children ages three and four.

The Annual Preschool Screening is being held on Friday, February 27, 2015.  If you are interested in having your three or four year old child be considered for enrollment in September 2015, please call the Student Services office at 978-468-5303 to schedule a screening appointment.

4th Grade Parents: Physical Paperwork Reminder

4th Grade Parents:  

Please remember to provide the Health Office with a copy of your child’s physical that is completed during their 4th grade year.  We are required to have a physical on file for 4th grade in keeping with Massachusetts General Law, c.71, s.57.  Any physical exam performed between May 1, 2014 and June 22, 2015 meets this criteria.

Bundle Up!

We will go outside for recess if the temperature is above 20 degrees. 

Students need to come to school appropriately dressed for the weather to play safely and responsibly.  Please be sure to send your child to school with a warm jacket, hat, gloves/mittens and boots.  Snowpants are necessary if your child will be playing in the snow.  Also, please make sure outerwear is labeled with your child's name.

Camp Invention Returns this Summer!


Buker School welcomes Author-in-Residence Steven Krasner

Buker School is excited to announce the arrival of author-in-residence Steven Krasner.   He will be working with our students in Grades 3-5 over six days this month.  

Mr. Krasner had a long successful career as a sports journalist, writing for the Providence Journal Bulletin.  Over the years he had the opportunity to cover World Series', Super Bowls, and many other major sporting events.  

We look forward to this writing experience with Mr. Krasner.   This opportunity is provided through the generous funding of the STARS Grant Program, in collaboration with the Friends of Buker.

Ski Bradford: Equipment Dropoff

Ski Bradford starts tomorrow, Wednesday, 1/7/15.

Equipment should be dropped off in the gym lobby by 10:00am, using the back gym doors. 

Make sure your child's teacher is aware that she/he will be participating in this program, with a note or email.
