Marathon Donations

Our collection on behalf of our Boston Marathon runners Julie Holbrook and Michael Digris totaled $458.  We have donated half to Julie's charity, Good Sports, and half to Michael's charity, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.  Thank you to all who donated.

Best of luck on Monday!

#Buker Strong: Friday, 4/13

On Friday, April 13th, Ms. O’Shea and Mrs. Orlando’s classes will be hosting an all school morning meeting in honor of two Buker parents that are running the Boston Marathon. Our hope is that students can wear sports attire and running shoes to show their support for these parents during this assembly.

Our classes will be presenting about the marathon and then the assembly will end with a rally to show excitement for Mrs. Holbrook and Mr. Digris. We will enjoy listening to their favorite training songs and end with a lap around the school.

Julie Holbrook will be running for Good Sports and Mike Digris will be running for Spaulding Rehab. We will be accepting donations and will split the donations between the two charities. If you would like to support them, kindly send a $1.00 (or more) to school with your child.

Thank you for your support.  Let’s show that we are #Buker Strong!

Respectfully,
Amy and Kathy

Thank you, Friends of Buker!

Thank you to Heather Romiza and Amy Kolano for coordinating another successful Scholastic Book Fair!  Our teachers greatly appreciate the gifted books for their classroom libraries.
Additional thanks to Kristen Crockett and her volunteers for organizing the refreshments and greeters for our annual GrandFriends' Day.  We had over 185 senior visitors in our classrooms!  It was a special morning at Buker.

REVISED MCAS Dates

Due to our many missed days of school this winter, we have decided to change a handful of our MCAS dates to allow for more instructional time in the classrooms prior to the assessments. Please note the changes highlighted in yellow below. Third grade will complete their English/Language Arts assessments prior to April vacation, but all other assessments will take place after April vacation.
